Last night I went for a long car ride. I had to sit in the backseat, and I wasn't sure that my owner could handle driving without me. So, I stood up with my hind legs and put my front paws and head on the back of her seat, right next to her head, just so she would know I was still there. I breathed heavily and whined a bit so she would remember I was with her. It worked because we eventually got out of the car and walked around. There were lots of cars and people walking around, and even some things on the sidewalk with two wheels whizzing past us. They aren't very loud, but they sure go fast!
Well, we went inside this store, and I loved the smell! I could tell that the humans there were eating because it smelled delicious. In fact - I think I've had some before! Sometimes my owner lets me lick out her cup. Mmmmm. She takes the top off and lets me lick it and chase it around the floor and when I start chewing on it, she takes it away. I can't understand why she stops me just when it starts getting good! While I was sniffing around I found some little white round things that my owner called Mentos. They were yummy and quite chewy. There were some nice people who wanted to pet me, so I jumped up so they could reach me easily. They also were holding things in their hands that smelled good, but they didn't share with me. I could have stayed in that store all day! There were lots of people, good smells all around me, and I'm sure there were good things to lick off the floor that I didn't have time to find! Well, all-too-soon, my owner took me back outside.
We went for a walk, but she doesn't understand how to walk. She always goes into boring places, and I don't know why she won't let me walk around on my own. I have this annoying red thing attached to my neck that doesn't let me go where I want to go. Sigh. Maybe next time I'll figure out some way to go exploring on my own.
